Hello again. I really am looking forward to meeting you. If you were looking to learn a little bit more about your local portrait photographer, I’ve added some more details about myself here.

I am a pretty driven person, and keep myself busy. I have been an ER nurse for over a decade, and a pre-hospital nurse for a few years as well, but complications of long Covid forced me to give those positions up. I completed my three-year FNP program while working a full-time & part-time job, and struggled to finish it during my illness. It was tough for sure. So, you know what I added on top of those very time-consuming endeavors? Following my dream of being an amazing photographer & entrepreneur!

As I said, I keep myself busy. For better or worse.

I grew up in NYC, never had a thought of living anywhere else. Some of my favorite memories are growing up right by the ocean- my grandfather was a sailor, and taught me and my brothers so much about the seas and shores. He even taught us to sail. I credit him with my adoration of the sea, and whatever knowledge I have of the tides.

We moved to Pennsylvania a little while after 9/11. My mom wanted us out. You never know where life will take you. I have called the Poconos home for about 20 years now, and love how beautiful it is. I have created an amazing life here; my long-time partner and I raise my stepson in a charming little community not far from Scranton now. We have my darling Samoyed Kona, and a feisty little Tortoiseshell kitten named Callie (though Demon might have suited her better).

I’m a bookworm, adore anime, (& taught myself Japanese because of it), avid coffee drinker, travel enthusiast, lover of history & science, and participate in amateur auto racing at times. I do love cars, and work on my own as well. My sense of humor ranges from ridiculous to inappropriate (thank you, emergency medicine). I love learning new things, and delving really deep into medicine and psychology.

I’m going to be a little too honest for a minute, so here’s a secret- It can be a struggle for me to easily converse with new people- I’m shy and don’t always know what to say. If you read my intro on the main page, it bears repeating- I’m an introvert and can be a bit awkward at times for sure. Being a nurse in a very interactive-heavy environment has helped mitigate that, but its the default setting you know? However, I’m friendly and definitely love getting to know people!

So if you’re like me, or just shy or uncertain about reaching out for information, please don’t be. There’s just another complex human on the receiving end of your inquiry who would love to chat about one of her favorite things.

Talk to you soon,

                          Kerry
